Jackson State Athletics Academic Services

 

The Athletics Academic Enhancement Center Staff plays a critical role in the life of student-athletes, helping to ensure the successful matriculation and academic achievement of each student-athlete.

 

The Athletics Academic Enhancement Center (AAEC), which is located in the Reddix Building, houses the AAEC staff and includes study rooms with computers, areas for personal tutorial services, as well as a state-of-the-art SMART classroom.  

 

From the moment a recruit walks onto campus to the moment a JSU Tiger graduates with a degree, Jackson State provides outstanding and comprehensive academic services.

 

The dedicated staff provides direction and guidance while challenging student-athletes to be accountable and responsible for their personal academic succes. The Division of Athletics promotes an "Academics First" philosophy and strongly encourages student-athletes to understand that they are students first. The athletic administration, coaching staff, AAEC staff, and the student-athletes all work together with The University as a whole to promote and ensure "One JSU" as evidenced by successful academic outcomes of the student-athlete population.
